Our privacy pledge
Many of us come from families that learned, the hard way, to be careful with our names and our information. We built Yekjan with that history in mind.
- We will never sell your information — to anyone, ever. No advertisers, no data brokers, no exceptions.
- Nothing is ever public. There are no public profiles, and search engines cannot see members.
- Your information is encrypted and stored in the United States, and we hold it to the European GDPR standard by choice. Yekjan is run from the United States, so US law applies to us. Nothing we hold is stored in, routed through, or reachable by anyone in Iran.
- This page uses no cookies and no trackers. Not Google's, not Facebook's, not anyone's. We count how many people visit, on our own server, and nothing else.
- We ask for the minimum. Today that is your email address — no phone number, no photo, no last name, and never your exact location.
- You own your information. Email privacy@yekjan.com and we will delete everything within 48 hours, no questions asked.
- If Yekjan has not launched within 12 months, we delete the whole list. We would rather hold nothing than hold it carelessly.

Questions
Is this a dating app?
No. There is no swiping, no browsing, and no casual anything. Yekjan exists for one purpose: helping marriage-minded Bahá'ís find each other with dignity. If you are not thinking about marriage, this is not the right place — and we say that with love.
Will anyone know I signed up?
No. There are no public profiles, nothing is posted anywhere, and we never share our member list. Even at launch, your profile is shown only to specific members we introduce you to — never to the community at large.
Where is my information kept?
Encrypted, on servers in the United States. We hold your information to the European GDPR standard because we chose to — Yekjan is run from the United States, so US law applies to us, and where a company is based decides which law binds it. No part of what we use is stored in, routed through, or reachable by anyone in Iran.
Who can join?
Members of the Bahá'í community, 18 and older, anywhere in the world, who are seriously open to marriage. We are starting in English, with full Persian support planned.
Can I sign up for my son or daughter?
We understand the instinct, and we honour the role of family in Bahá'í marriage. But each person must join for themselves — consent matters to us deeply. Choose "For someone I care about" on the form and we will give you a warm, easy way to share Yekjan with them instead.
What does it cost?
The waitlist is free. The first 500 members become Founding Members and receive every premium feature free for life. We would rather earn your trust than your money.
How do I leave, or delete my information?
Email privacy@yekjan.com and we will delete everything within 48 hours, no questions asked. If Yekjan has not launched within 12 months, we delete it all anyway.
